What is a 01 file?

01 files mostly belong to WinRAR. *.01 Files Explained: This file extension does not represent a stand‐alone format. Instead, it marks the first segment in a multi‐part archive. • 8% of all 01 files use the ZIP algorithm, the 01 file contains a number of compressed files. 4 to 100 compressed files with names like [Content_Types].xml and \docProps\core.xml are common.
