What is a 3GP file?

3GP files mostly belong to Movies & TV by Microsoft. Files with 3GP extension are video or audio files created with the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) multimedia container file format that is typically used to stream or download multimedia files on GSM, UMTS, 2G, and 4G mobile phones. How do you open 3GP files?

You need a suitable software like Movies & TV to open a 3GP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
