What is an AGF file

AGF files mostly belong to FlightGear.

AGF files are not a single type of file. In the most common case, they are zipped XML files used as FlightGear aircraft data files. These files contain structured aircraft design and performance data that flight simulation applications use.

How do you open AGF files?

You need a suitable software like FlightGear to open an AGF file. 15% of all AGF files have the same signature BM. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The file size is in the range of 26 KB to 3 MB.

All the rest of the AGF files (35%) have different formats, often, for example, UTF-16 (LE), ACGF and ATLAS. They are often associated with optotune, ohara or dragon.
