What is an ATF file?

ATF files mostly belong to Photoshop by Adobe Systems Incorporated. ATF file format is used by Adobe Photoshop Transfer Function files in Adobe Photoshop. They are also used by other software.

Main Use: When digital images are printed, certain pixels might look darker (refer to as dot gain) or lighter (called dot loss) as compared to the original. Adobe's ATF file contains data that can make up for this dot gain/loss seen in printed images by appropriately adjusting the dot percentage. How to open an ATF file

You need a suitable software like Photoshop to open an ATF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
