What is an ATOM file?

ATOM files mostly belong to RSSOwl by RSSOwl. An ATOM file contains XML-encoded updates on articles and resources published to the Internet. It can be loaded and rendered by various web feeds aggregation software or embedded in an HTML document. Another type of ATOM file is a 3D animation saved in the Animation Transfer Object Model (ATOM) format used by Maya. This format is primarily used to save and transfer an animation from one object or hierarchy to another in Maya. ATOM is also the filename extension of game data files used in King's Bounty: Crossworlds video game.

How can I open an ATOM file?

You need a suitable software like RSSOwl to open an ATOM file.
