What is a CFD file?

CFD files mostly belong to CFD Viewer. CFD files are not a single universal format. They are used for several distinct purposes, and understanding the context is key.
For example:

• Czech bank payment files – these contain data for financial transactions in Czech banking systems.

How can I open a CFD file?

You need a suitable software like CFD Viewer to open a CFD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below is our analysis of the CFD files:

CFD is not a commonly used file extension and includes very many different file formats. But the following two file formats are common:

• 15% of all CFD files start with the magic bytes HD:1, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The contents of these files are easily readable with a text editor. The files are often between 250 bytes and 19 KB in size. Such files are related to bank.
• 7% of all CFD files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "[FILE_HEADER]" at the beginning. These files are text files and can therefore be read using a text editor. A typical file size is 57 KB.
