What is a DPA file?

DPA files mostly belong to Delta DOPSoft.

How to open a DPA file

You need a suitable software like Delta DOPSoft to open a DPA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. DPA file extension format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our examination of the DPA files comes to the following conclusion:

DPA is not a common file extension and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. But the following two file formats are common:

• 30% of all DPA files start with the bytes 42 4D 0E, which are crucial for this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. Most of these files are 69 KB to 830 KB in size. The file type is relatively new. The keywords PDAB6 are typical for these files. Such files sometimes refer to software and newhmi.
• 20% of all DPA files are based on the zip format, that is, a DPA file includes multiple compressed files. A DPA file includes 8 to 100 files. File names inside are always Analysis0_Composition_kp.swf, DWsettings.xml, PerformanceAnalysis.html, PerformanceAnalysis.swf, PerformanceAnalysis.xml, Storyboard1.swf and logo.swf. You can see the included files and images by renaming the file extension to .zip and then double-clicking it. DPA files can be up to 440 MB in size, but are often around 670 KB - 230 MB. An example of a file name is ECSS_v0.8_1October2020.dpa. These files are attributed to animation and ecss, and frequently comprise personal data.
