What is a DPT file?

DPT files mostly belong to OPUS.

DPT files contain spectroscopy data used in scientific measurements and analysis. They are generated by instruments and processed with dedicated software. .DPT files contains spectroscopy data. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum (from 780 nm to 2500 nm). It is a pure text file with numerical values: ASCII (x,y) pairs. To open a DPT file in Origin, rename it to .txt, open it and replace all comma "," with 5 spaces " ", then replace all "." with "," and save it, then open it in Origin.
