How to open DVB files

The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. • 85% of all DVB files internally use the Microsoft Compound File format, also known as Compound File Binary File format (CFBF or CFB) or OLE2 Compound Document format. The files are on average 190 KB in size and range from 26 KB to 880 KB. The file type was created 20 years ago but is still used today. Such files sometimes refer to project, acad, cadmax, tool, quantity, takeoff, tools, sample and layer.
• 5% of all DVB files are based on the well-known JetDB file format. The JetDB is a database format often used by Microsoft Access and Visual Basic programs. JET is short for Joint Engine Technology. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The files are on average 2 MB in size and range from 350 KB to 32 MB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as Standard Jet DB.
