ICD file format details:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Our evaluation of the ICD files is as follows:
ICD is rarely used as a file extension and covers different formats for different programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 25% of all ICD files start with the bytes MOD0@, which are crucial for this file format. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The average file size is 380 KB with most files being between 61 KB and 1 MB in size. The following keywords are characteristic: MOD0@.
- 20% of all ICD files save the data in EXE file format. EXE is the abbreviation for executable and is the standard executable file format on Windows. The format can be identified by the letters "MZ" at the beginning. Executable files can also be used to distribute viruses and other types of malicious software (malware). These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. A typical file size is 2 MB. The keywords !This program cannot be run in DOS mode are typical for these files. The following filename is common: AGE2_X1.ICD or EMPIRES2.ICD.
All other ICD files (55%) have different formats, frequently e.g. IronCAD 2D Drawing, JSON and XML. Tagged as definition or export. You can get all the details of your ICD file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .icd file to view this image" above.
