What is an IIM file?

IIM files mostly belong to iMacros. IIM files are used as iMacros automation scripts for web tasks.
They store a series of commands in plain text (usually UTF-8) that tell a browser how to perform tasks like navigation, form completion, and data extraction.

These commands can be either recorded automatically or written manually.

You can open and edit them with any simple text editor.

They are designed to work with the iMacros tool for browser automation.

How to open an IIM file

You need a suitable software like iMacros to open an IIM file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. Files like these have the following tags: follow, like, youtube, likes, facebook, shopee, auto, kingdomlikes, youlikehits, instagram, mobile and tiktok.
4% of all IIM files start with the bytes VERSION BUILD=, which are crucial for this file format. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. Most of these files are 290 bytes to 820 bytes in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. VERSION BUILD and RECORDER.

All the rest of the IIM files (6%) have different formats. They are often associated with addme, views, freebitco, subscribe, otomatis, unfollow, hotmail, fblike, higher, script, login, melt, post or spam.
