What is an INFO file?

INFO files mostly belong to Drupal by Drupal Community. INFO filename extension is typically used to store documentation and manuals written with Texinfo on UNIX-based operating systems and stored in Textinfo file format. Apart from plain text, these INFO files may also contain navigational elements and control characters pointing to separate nodes of the document. How to open an INFO file

You need a suitable software like Drupal to open an INFO file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
