What is an ISR file

ISR files mostly belong to SPIF. ISR files serve different internal purposes based on the system that generates them.
For example, one common use is as an Invoice Status Report. In this case the file holds data on invoice processing and their current status. Software from companies like SPIF generates these files for use in financial tracking. You can find more details at USAC.
Another use is as a file for session recording by ISL Light. Here the file captures details of a remote session. Opening these files typically requires the ISL online tools available at ISL Online.
A different variant acts as an InstallShield response or registry file. These files contain scripted responses or registry information used during software installation or uninstallation. How you open and view an ISR file depends on which type it is.

If it is an invoice report, use the vendor’s invoice system.

How can I open an ISR file?

You need a suitable software like SPIF to open an ISR file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
