Opening a NAV File
The NAV file type is primarily associated with Counter-Strike.
What is a NAV file?
How can I open a NAV file?
You need a suitable software like Counter-Strike to open a NAV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your NAV file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a NAV file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

NAV file format:
Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). Nonetheless, different programs can utilize the same file extension to represent distinct file formats. Double-clicking on the file often results in an error when opening. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our evaluation of the NAV files looks like this:
The NAV file extension is used very often and includes different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in NAV files:
- 35% of all NAV files have the same signature Îúíþ. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. The average file size is 350 KB with most files being between 6 KB and 960 KB in size. The file type was created 10 years ago, but is still used today. Some examples of file names are de_dust2.nav or c1m1_hotel.nav. Such files sometimes refer to dust, hotel, overpass, mirage, nuke, construct, assault, baggage, inferno, lego, site and surf.
- 5% of all NAV files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters " " at the beginning. These files are plain text, which means they can be viewed with any text editor such as Windows Editor, Nano for Linux, and TextEdit for macOS. The average file size is 27 KB with most files being between 1 KB and 100 KB in size. The files contain the following words: DATE, RUN BY, RINEX VERSION / TYPE, GNSS NAV DATA M, Mixed RINEX VERSION, 03 N, Users and Desktop. Such files are related to base.
The remaining 60% of all NAV files are different files with different signatures, the following 7 formats can be found: WordPerfect. The category is contents, chap, flow, khbzdtzzpemvfa, nbsfakvf, mqnkhp, tbwzxr, priap, tuhlx, dkdt or tjgr. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your NAV file!
