What is an NM file

NM files mostly belong to SpaceEngine by Vladimir Romanyuk. A file with NM file extension contains a nebula model used by SpaceEngine, a 3D engine for games set in space. The NM file consists of objects such as gas clouds and its contents are used to depict a nebula during rendering. Nebula models in SpaceEngine are located in the /catalogs/nebulae/ directory and the contents have a similar structure with galaxy and cluster objects in the same program. How to open NM files

You need a suitable software like SpaceEngine to open an NM file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your NM file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a NM file directly in the browser:.
