What is an OCD file?

OCD files mostly belong to OCAD. OCAD Map Files are the main type of OCD files. They store building blocks for orienteering course maps and include vector data, layout details, and drawing elements used in planning race courses.
However, the OCD extension is not limited to mapping. Depending on the creator, these files may also be:

Compressed Backup Archives – Used by navigation tools like OpenCPN. Such files can be compressed using formats like BZ2, ZIP, or even FreeArc.

How to open OCD files

You need a suitable software like OCAD to open an OCD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
