What is a PEN file

PEN files mostly belong to PaintShop by Corel. Pen presets used by PaintShop photo editor are stored in files with PEN filename extension. Each pen preset comprises custom pen settings loaded into the program to define the size, color, texture etc. of the pen tool. Drawings created with Logitech io2 digital pen are also stored in PEN files which can be viewed or edited with the Logitech io2 desktop software. Such drawings are stored as vector graphics (representing digital ink) which are captured when the pen is drawn across the surface of its pad which is connected to a computer via USB. How to open a PEN file

You need a suitable software like PaintShop to open a PEN file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
