Opening RPX Files
The RPX file type is primarily associated with Cemu.
What is an RPX file
How do you open RPX files?
You need a suitable software like Cemu to open an RPX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your RPX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a RPX file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

RPX file extension format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the RPX files looks like this:
The RPX file extension is quite common and includes different formats for different programs. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 60% of all RPX files are ActiveReports Report files, which are based on the XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. RPX files are between 5 KB and 230 KB in size. The file type was created 10 years ago, but is still used today. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as GUIDREP, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>, <ActiveReportsLayout, GUIDLIB, LICENSE="10000000" and PrintWidth="1. Files like these are sometimes connected to report, payslip, ticket, summary, format and sheet.
- 25% of all RPX files are based on the popular ELF file format. ELF is the abbreviation for Executable and Linkable Format and is the standard binary format on Linux and Unix. They consist of unreadable binary data. The average file size is 9 MB with most files being between 2 MB and 22 MB in size. A common filename is U-King.rpx or Turbo.rpx. Files like these have the following tags: king, client, carpet, minecraft, tekken and block.
The remaining 15% of all RPX files are different files with different signatures, frequently e.g. Rpx and TimingSummary. These files sometimes refer to king, client, carpet, minecraft, tekken or block. If you want to find out what your RPX file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.

How to solve problems with RPX files
- Associate the RPX file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open games. Because only the current version supports the latest RPX file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Team Cemu manufacturer website after an available Cemu update.
- To make sure that your RPX file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .RPX file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
