What is an RWZ file?

RWZ files mostly belong to Rawzor by Rawzor Team. RWZ is the filename extension of RAW images compressed using Rawzor image compression software. By losslessly compressing RAW images down to RWZ format, Rawzor's compression algorithm can reduce the size of the image by up to 60% in some cases. The lossless compression ensures all bytes in the image are restored whenever you choose to decompress the RWZ image. Rawzor is also available as an SDK that is used to view RWZ images via XnView. The Rules Wizard in the 1998 to 2003 editions of Outlook email application uses a different RWZ format to store email rules. These rules may include filters (e.g. for sorting out spam messages, important message etc.). Using the Rules Wizard, users can, for example, create rules for how to handle adverts, unknown senders etc.

How to open RWZ files

You need a suitable software like Rawzor to open an RWZ file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
