What is a TIP file?
How to open a TIP file
You need a suitable software like Windows to open a TIP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your TIP file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a TIP file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

- 7-Zip (compressed data) by Igor Pavlov7-Zip is a cross-platform software for compressing and encrypting data. It can unpack a TIP file saved in ZIP format. This file format is classified as Compressed.
- Tru-Designer (presentation) by TruknoxTru-Designer is a graphics presentation software compatible with Windows desktop. A presentation created with Tru-Designer is saved in a TIP file which may be exported to other formats. This file format is classified as Data.
TIP file format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. In the following you will find our evaluation of the TIP files:
The TIP file extension is rarely used and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. But the following two file formats are common:
- 40% of all TIP files belong to TuneUp Styler Icon pack. They consist of unreadable binary data. Most of these files are 890 KB to 4 MB in size. The file type was created 10 years ago, but is still used today. The following filename is common: AllRight2.tip or FarawayDream.tip. These files can be linked to equipment, interface, windows, build, heavy and cryo.
- 8% of all TIP files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "?×l" at the beginning. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. TIP files can be up to 1 MB in size, but are often around 210 bytes - 1 MB. Files like these are sometimes connected to lucene.
The remaining 52% of all TIP files are files with no common format, frequently e.g. ZIP and SDB. Tagged as close or xhel. You can get all the details of your TIP file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .tip file to analyze" above.
