What is a UFF file?

UFF files mostly belong to LMS Test.Lab.

The UFF file is used as a container for internal data. Its content is defined by the application that creates it. In some cases it holds a Universal File Format for test lab data, such as those used in Siemens LMS Test.Lab (Siemens).
Other uses include:

TensorFlow Graph Format: Some UFF files store network definitions or graphs for TensorRT. More details are available on the TensorFlow page.
Ultrasound Data Storage: Certain UFF files use the HDF5 structure to hold ultrasound data. They are often opened with HDFView (HDFView).
Scene Description: Other files bundle scene data in ZIP format for universal scene description.

How to open UFF files

You need a suitable software like LMS Test.Lab to open a UFF file. 15% of all UFF files have the same signature 08 01 10 01 1A 18 0A 14 74 65 6E 73 6F 72 66 6C. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. UFF files can be up to 320 MB in size, but are often around 1 MB - 89 MB. The following keywords are characteristic: main, tensorflow_extension, dtype, custom, _NMS_TRT", concat_priorbox, Squeeze, concat_box_conf, varianceEncodedInTarget_u_int, shareLocation_u_int, conv, BiasAdd, Const and Sigmoid. Examples of file names are ssd_mobilenet_v2_coco.uff. These files are often associated with mobilenet, coco, graph, model, unet, segmentation and output.
