What is a UID file?

UID files mostly belong to STAAD.Pro. This file may refer to different data types depending on the source.

STAAD.Pro model file: The file stores project data used in structural analysis with STAAD.Pro by Bentley Systems. It holds engineering model information and must be viewed with STAAD.Pro. For more details, visit Bentley.

Unique Identifier file: In some cases, the file contains a unique ID used for data exchange. It is designed to track records and connect data in specialized systems.

How to open a UID file

You need a suitable software like STAAD.Pro to open a UID file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
