What is a DSM file?

DSM files mostly belong to Delphi by Embarcadero. A DSM file contains symbol module information used by Delphi integrated development environment. Information stored in this file include the names and types of local variables and constants used in a module. DSM is also the filename extension of a video streaming container file used when Media Player Classic is streaming a video from an online source. DesmuME game console emulator uses a different DSM file to store events and player actions recorded during gameplay. This file does not contain video content (only controller inputs and game events) and it can be replayed at a later time using DesmuME.

How to open DSM files

You need a suitable software like Delphi to open a DSM file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
