LPD file format:
Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the LPD files produces the following result:
The LPD file extension is rather rarely used and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 25% of all LPD files are associated with Avery Label Pro label. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. Most of these files are 700 bytes to 2 KB in size. This file type was primarily in use more than 20 years ago. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. New LabelPro Design and Address. These files are attributed to person-related data.
- 20% of all LPD files start with the magic bytes EPF, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The files are 15 MB to 50 MB in size, with a median of 41 MB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. EPF. A common filename is SKJ-w1-2009.lpd. Such files sometimes refer to robomotion and wheeled.
All the rest of the LPD files (55%) have different formats, often, for example, ZIP, XML and oqW. Sometimes used for docnoticeofoffertosettlepart. Just click the "Choose your .lpd file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your LPD file is.
