Opening an MCC File
The MCC file type is primarily associated with tbaScan.
What is an MCC file?
For many systems, an MCC file represents a Measurement Control Center file that stores scan and measurement data from dosimetry equipment, such as those managed with tbaScan.

FilExt.com note: Determine which software produced your MCC file by checking internal markers like XML tags, compression headers, or file structure details. This insight will guide you to the proper application needed to open and view your file.
How to open an MCC file
You need a suitable software like tbaScan to open an MCC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your MCC file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a MCC file directly in the browser:. MCC file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. In the following you will find our evaluation of the MCC files:
The MCC extension is quite commonly used. The file itself includes different formats for different programs. The two most common formats are as follows:
- 40% of all MCC files use the same file format, which have the signature BEGIN_SCAN_DATA. These files contain text and words, not binary data. MCC files can be up to 490 KB in size, but are often around 4 KB - 20 KB. The file type was developed only in the last few years. The keywords BEGIN_SCAN_DATA, LAST_MODIFIED, FORMAT=CC-Export V1.9, FILE_CREATION_DATE, BEGIN_SCAN 1, TASK_NAME=tba PDD Profiles and PROGRAM=tbaSca are typical for these files. Such files sometimes refer to open, crin, pddxy, pddcrin, cmdepth, diamond and micro.
- 15% of all MCC files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "Cypress Enable " at the beginning. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are 2 KB to 300 KB in size, with a median of 12 KB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as Cypress Enable. Some examples of file names are M6Start.mcc or liccheck.mcc. Such MCC files store data about start, licstatus and post.
The remaining 45% of all MCC files are files with no common format, such as DOC, zlib, XML, GZIP, File, Lua and CHNK. They are often associated with solutions, motorola, blackmagic, studio, hyper, deck or mini. Just click the "Choose your .mcc file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your MCC file is.

How to solve problems with MCC files
- Associate the MCC file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open data files. Because only the current version supports the latest MCC file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available tbaScan update.
- To make sure that your MCC file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .MCC file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
