File type: OpenMG Music Format File

The OMA file type is primarily associated with 'Sony' by Sony Corporation of America. These files are in Sony's ATRAC3 format. There appears to be several ways to read/convert these files. One is to use a program like SonicStage to burn them to a CD. Then, use whatever program you like to rip the audio off the CD and convert to whatever format suits. You should also be able to use the original Sony software with the Tools | Options | CD Recording | Select Format menu to convert to a .WAV CD format which can then be ripped. Can be played with SonicStage 2.1+.

When windows gives you an error message saying that it
"Cannot open OMA files", this means either:

A. You need to identify a program that can open the file
B. Or your registry may be damaged

In both cases it is strongly recommended that you
run a free scan for registry errors.
