Notes about the TSV file extension:

Errors in your registry are one of the common causes for incorrect file associations on your windows system. It is highly recommended that you check your registry for file association errors (will also check for any other registry errors).

The TSV file type is primarily associated with 'Tab-Separated Values'. A tab delimited file is a database exported into a format where each record is a single line and each field in the record is indicated by a tab. Where necessary (e.g., if the field has a tab in it) the field will also be quoted (this is generally not needed and why TSV is used instead of CSV). If you have Excel, use the import feature of Excel to import the file. Specify delimited format as the import format. Then export to whatever format you require for the data. You can also usually import this format directly into most any database program or spreadsheet program as well. This file type is often associated with Microsoft Excel as this is one of the standard ways to transfer data into and out of a spreadsheet.
