Notes about the FBW file extension:
Incorrect file associations could be the result of underlying issues within your PC system. As such it is highly recommended to
scan your PC for invalid registry entries, unused processes and other unfavourable system settings to identify slowdown issues.
The FBW file type is primarily associated with 'HP Backup' by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.. The HP System Recovery utility creates backup files of the form backup.####.fbw where #### is a series of numbers starting at 001 and increasing. In some versions there appears to be a bug in the naming process and #### goes from 009 to 010. It should go to 0010. Each number should have two zeros in front of it. If you encounter this bug, rename backup.010.fbw to backup.0010.fbw and add a leading to zero to all subsequent numbered files. Run the EXE file in the directory with the backup and it should then restore properly. Thanks to manuel1104 in the FILExt forum posting from the TechRepublic forums.
