How to open a .DLL file

I have the windows UxTheme patch .DLL that's 'post to have all sorts of themes. I just need to know how to open DLLs.

Also, I know that modding this DLL will not do any damage to my system.

Wait... I looked in SYSTEM32 and found: RUNDLL32.exe

EDIT:But-I don't know how to work it.

DLL files are dynamic libraries of subroutines that are used by programs so that the subroutines are only called when needed and don't clutter up the main program code. Basically, you don't open, modify, or otherwise mess with them as doing so will likely make the program they work with stop working properly. To change a DLL file which contains code (as it would since this seems to refer to the rundll operating system program) you would have to recompile Windows from the source code. I doubt Uncle Bill up in Washington is going to allow you to do that.

But that UxTheme dll is 'post to give you a library of themes. I just need an extension that will fit it so I can view it.
