how to convert tps video files to format handled by popular media players

I have bought a satellite TV decoder with PVR recording capability, recording videos with .tps extension. These files are only replayed by the decoder that recorded them, but cannot be replayed by any known media player. I thus cannot share these recordings with anyone else. I have searched the Internet but failed to find the proper converter. Please help me if you can. My email address is mounirelkommos@yahoo.com
