So, the website has been totally redesigned, eh?

Could y'all fill me in on what exactly has happened? The old site had a friendly, community-oriented vibe, with plenty of user-generated content and few visible ads.

The new site looks more like a clickfarm, with most of the content being generated text and links to a single scan-my-PC tool and very little (and very hard to find) content. I feel kind of let down. Did the owners get bought out?
