my printer needs this srgb.icm

I just bought a Photosmart 8450. It's asking me to insert my XP installation CD (whick I did) to locate file. I locate the file, and it still asks. HELP. srgb.icm

Hi there! I can think of 4 options what you could do... Good Luck! (oh, and just to be on the safeside... Be sure you log in with an admin-account)

(1) Instead of installing from disk try installing srgb.icm from the driver.cab in your windows directory, c:\windows\driver cache\i386\driver.cab...

(2) Also HP has an automatic update check on their support-pages SEE HERE

(3) you can search internet and download that colormanagement SEE HERE (goto ICC in the menu, scroll down and search for sRGB.icm ZIP file)

(4) And last but not least... Just ignore that file and continue install... Im betting even without that file your printer should work just fine

The sRGB.icm is located at Xp CD or installed O.S.
c:\windows\Driver Cache\i386\driver
it is a compressed file, you extrate it and will get sRGB.icm!
