Default scandisk cruzer mini

I have a 4gb scandisk cruzer mini. I have a video file on it that I cannot delete. I keep getting an error message that says:
Cannot delete DVR_VR. The request could not be performed I/O device error.

I also get a message at the bottom of the screen that says: Windows - Delayed Write Failed.
How can I delete this file from my travel drive? I also tried to move it but I could not do thi s either.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Terry

Is the device formatted with a FAT file system (I'm guessing yes)? If so, then...

1) I'm not certain how the file got on the device in the first place.

2) You may not be able to do anything with it easily. The FAT file system is limited to files no larger than 4GB - 1 byte in size.

Had a question on that sort of thing on my other site and put up a FAQ there about it...

Not certain if you can convert a plug-in drive to NTFS or not.
