Only one: the property list is actually corrupted.
![]() It's likely the download is either incomplete or has an error in it. |

Oh yes, and for the people that are having trouble using Deamon Tools,
1.Load Deamon Tools 2.See the right part of the taskbar;there should be a few icons and one of them is the deamon tools icon. 3.Right click the Deamon tools icon 4.select virtual cd/dvd-rom 5.Select Device 0:[H:]No Media 6.Click Mount image 7.Browse to your .iso image 8.click open 9.Go to My Computer and you will see an extra drive that has the name of your previously selected image. 10.Ta-Da!All Done

... the solution is to use normal commercial soft with tech support.
I can recommend utility, named 'UFS Explorer' (www.ufsexplorer.com) - it is cheap (comparing to, for example TransMac :-) ) and fully supports both .dmg format and compression there. Nice utility, can do much more things (for example, supports Mac drives). Quote:

ok, i registered just for the sake of this thread. i have a dmg file that I KNOW is not damaged and works. i tried the dmg2iso.exe but i got the same error message (property list corrupted). i downloaded the perl interpretator for windows and gave the dmg2iso.pl a shot and low and behold it converted it with 0 errors. you guys might want to give it a shot! |

I have tried almost everything suggested here but nothing worked.
So what i did was this I downloaded the latest version of daemon tools. I then mounted the .dmg by using the show all files option. Then I opened alchohol 120% and pressed image making wizard, selected the drive and then the output folder. And then pressed start. This worked perfectly for me and i dont see why it wont work for everyone. |

that normal people can't understand. This became a challenge to me, because I have a dmg file that I really want to extract. I started trying a software called MacDrive 6 which was supposed to do the trick. It is more advanced than dmg2iso, but absolutely impossible to understand. Don't try it, don't buy it. I have made a lot of experiments. Now eventually I have found a solution to the puzzle: Move dmg2iso.exe to c:\ if it is not already there. Rename the program to dmg2iso.pl (strange, but it is necessary!) Move the dmg file that you want to convert to c:\ If the name contains blanks or any strange characters that DOS may not accept, then rename it. Give the file a simple name like MYFILE.dmg to be on the safe side. Open Windows help function. Try to find out how to open a DOS window. (I am running W2000, swedish version, so I can't give you any exact guidance here). In the DOS window type: dmg2iso.pl MYFILE.dmg MYFILE.iso (do not use any < or >) enter - wait... ... and you will have an iso image that you can expand with PowerIso or any other available software that can expand an iso file. Good luck! |

Converting Mac files to Windows with dmg2iso:
I think I should add the following to my prevous post: If your dmg file (or archive) contains a software intended for Macinthosh, then dmg2iso will of course not convert the file to anything useful in Windows. You can create an iso image and then extract it in Windows, but when you try to install the software, you will be dissapointed. There is no magic function in dmg2iso or any other software that can convert a Mac software to a Windows software. But for other files that both Mac and Windows recognize, it works. |
