If USBLink doesn't respond, there is a forum for Audition here...
http://www.audiomastersforum.net/amf...oard,21.0.html Did a quick look but did not find links to files. You may have better luck. The support database for Audition had supported formats but I did not see any conversion tools. |

Thank you for the link, DaBoss.
I found something about SDS, not SES |

Yes, I took another longer look through that forum and while I did not find any .SES files or formats I gather from the various discussions that Audition saves projects as Sessions and puts all the various related files into a folder tree. From that I would deduce that the .SES file is probably a description of where everything is and what's been done with it. To that extent it would be unique to each session and contain nothing of value worth converting (e.g., no audio files; just pointers to them). It might even be XML given it's wide use in today's software.
At least, that's my uninformed analysis and best guess.

I am about a year late on this, I stumbled across it during a search...
Just thought I might help others with similar questions... A .ses file generated in Cool Edit (now Adobe "Audition", GRRR ) does not contain any audio data.It is a SESSION file! It is similar to a playlist. It keeps track of where the files used in the project are stored, program settings such as track view, volume, pan, and EQ settings, envelopes, project tempo, etc. To save your multitrack project as a .wav or .mp3, go to "File", and select "Save Mixdown As", then choose the file type in the pop-down menu at the bottom of the "Save As Filetype" dialog ![]() Read your help files, also, they are VERY helpful in Cool Edit
