Default Alternative (100% working)

I had the same problem and finaly I've found solution.
dmg2iso didn't work with my image (ERROR:Property list is corrupted) and I couldn't use it.
So I tried to solve the problem with MacDrive http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/ and WinImage http://www.winimage.com.

1. Install macdrive and winimage
2. Mount image using winimage.

When winimage mounts dmg image then macdrive recognizes dmg image and makes it readable under windows.

I've tried this on WinxXP SP2 and it works!!!!

I tried that solution, installed both WinImage (along with FileDisk) and MacDrive on my WinXP SP2 system. I'm having trouble mounting the DMG image using WinImage. When I drag-and-drop the DMG file into WinImage, it prompts me to choose a Format Selection. I've tried many of the options presented, and eventually get the same error message: "The file [insert chosen filename here] cannot be injected. The image is full." I hate to pester you for more info, but could you give a step-by-step on how you mounted the DMG image using WinImage?

Thanks!!

Default I think I have the ISO file, but..

Ok, I [think] I've succesfully converted the .DMG file to the .ISO file with the dmg2iso.exe. The DMG was 475MB and the ISO is 610MB, so that seems right.
How do I open/use the ISO file?
Is it an image file?
I burned it to a cd-r with Nero 6 using the "Disc image" function, and burning the tycoon.iso to it.
After burning the cd and viewing it, I can see the stuff, including the Zoo Tycoon application. But, it's a Macintosh(R) Application! Obviously, that doesn't work on Windows.
Story: I download Zoo Tycoon.dmg through a torrent. dmg2iso -> tycoon.iso. Use Nero6 and burn tycoon.iso as a disc image to a cd-r. cd-r has the Mac Application.
Question: Since the point of changing this DMG file to ISO was so I could use it on the PC, how come the application is a Mac application?
Did I do something wrong?

i think i have reached the same strage as you. I have two dmg files i need to work on my win xp pc. Somehow i managed to convert them into .nrg files (the image file that nero will burn). So i burnt the two discs. But i keep being told that it's a mac file.

Anyone care to shed a little light?

I installed Macdrive 6 & WinImage, but I can't mount a .dmg file with WinImage! I am having the exact same problem as you did (ERROR:Property list is corrupted) and I would really like to try your solution, but I can't get past that 2nd step. Could you help me out please? Thanks, it would be very much appreciated!

Default Patient explanation of dmg2iso fornewbies

okay mike i am patient and can explain this step by step
1. Click on this link: http://vu1tur.eu.org/tools/ (or copy it into your website bar)
2. Under the "dmg2iso" heading, find download and to the right of it are 4 links (perl script, win32 binary, source code, and liscense note) CLICK ON THE win32 binary link. YOur download will start. When it is done, extract the file with WinZip or WinRAR (download one of these at download.com if you don't already have them) Extract to (choose a folder you can find easily). Then double click on the folder that you extracted it to and move the .exe file (named "dmg2iso") to the folder with your dmg file (put it in same folder as the dmg file you want to convert. Keep this window (of this folder) open. Then go to START, All Programs, and Accessories. In here there will be a COMMAND PROMPT icon. Click on it and a black window willl open up with a file location. Change to the folder you put the files in (look at window you kept open to see exact location) and type:
dmg2iso.exe <filename.dmg> <filename.iso> inserting the name of the dmg file for "filename" and dont type the carrot parentheses (they are just placeholders)
press enter, and wait a little while, until it says "conversion complete"
NOW YOU HAVE AN ISO FILE.
