Default hj-join file

Hello everyone,

I have a problem that hopefully you guys can help me with. I downloaded a movie that came in a format that i have never seen. After some checking i found out that it was split with a program called hj split. I downloaded the joiner called hj-join and joined the file. Now i have a file that is the right size but in an unrecognizeable format. I have all the latest codecs, i have media player classic (which will play anything) and nothing will work. When i try to play it the player says that it "cannot render file". In the hj-join rar there were two joiners, i used them both and got two different files. One has no file ext. at all and the other has a "xxx" ext. When i came to this site it says that the file has something to do with embroidery. What!!
I am at a loss, help

Thanks in advance

Extensions are given to file names at the whim of whomever named the file. Often, movies and the like are given strange extensions in order to bypass filters of various kinds.

Best I can suggest is to try Gspot and see what CODEC it says the file needs and that should tell you the format. See the FAQ here...
