I have a Kodak Z1012. When I download the videos they are easily read by the kodak program (easy share). To email or send these to my friends somehow they have a .mov extension. Which is read by EAsy Share (kodak) and QuickTime. Do all my friends have to download QuickTime to view these videos?? Is there anyway to save them as wmv .files?? Also, the size is HUGE.

The other people would have to have a program capable of playing that file type; QuickTime is one but there are others.
If you wanted to change to WMV format you would have to run the file through a conversion program. You can't just change the extension.
