Default Error cannot read from source file or disk

I have a folder on my computer (that I made) and every file or folder in it says
"Cannot read from source file or disk." it says that every time I try to move or delete it.

Does anyone know the problem?

Probably has a hidden or "tagged" character in the name that confuses Explorer. Try one of these two (probably the second is best for your needs but I'll list both)...

Do you have Lotus 123 on your computer? If so, then rename the files to the stansard Lotus 123 extension, and if you didn't associate anything else to the standard Lotus 123 extension, it should open with Lotus 123.

If you don't have it on your computer, then you should ask the person who gave you the disk to send it in another format.

Or, also, try opening the file(s) in whatever spreadsheet program you do have. Virtually all should open a Lotus 1-2-3 file.

If you don't have a spreadsheet program and want one, try OpenOffice; a free office suite that reads/writes many different formats.

In addition to using one of the programs listed above if you have not already tried them, please see this thread...
