What is an AVATAR file?

AVATAR files mostly belong to Animaze Editor by Holotech. AVATAR is the filename extension of the container file format used to store 2D and 3D animated characters (avatars) created with Animaze studio, a livestream and video chat software used to substitute the images of the participants in a video chat with animated characters called avatars (could be a talking shark, a toad, a cute puppy, or even a bear). An AVATAR file may contain a 2D/3D avatar, backgrounds, and props. Animaze works with gaming and video streaming platforms such as Steam, twitch, Facebook, Zoom, Skype, Meet, and Discord. AVATAR filename extension is also associated with the profile picture files used by Talk, a discontinued instant messenger application developed by Google. Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. These files are attributed to harness, black, byaiyanaaa, ascollar, dress, girl and 3D model.

All other AVATAR files (50%) have no uniform format, the following 6 formats exist: ZIP, JFIF, PNG and cyOK. Files like these are sometimes linked to dist, face, photo, white, naked or pink.
