What is a BUFFER file

BUFFER files mostly belong to Eleventy. An BUFFER file is used for temporary data storage that helps speed up software and game processes.

How to open a BUFFER file

BUFFER file format:

The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Below is our analysis of the BUFFER files:

BUFFER is not a commonly used file extension and includes different formats for the applicable programs. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 25% of all BUFFER files are based on the popular PNG file format. PNG is short for Portable Network Graphics. It is a high-quality raster image file that supports lossless data compression. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The average file size is 340 KB with most files being between 110 KB and 400 KB in size. This file type is based on cutting-edge technology. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as IDATx, IHDR and sBIT. An example of a file name is IMG_20180601.jpg.cover.buffer or IMG_20180601.jpg.cover[1].buffer. Files like these have the following tags: cover.
• 15% of all BUFFER files start with the bytes CR2W crucial for this file format. These files are not pure binary files and are therefore readable and interpretable with a text editor. The file size is in the range of 3 KB to 260 KB. The keywords CR2W, CMaterialInstance, baseMaterial and rRef:IMa are typical for these files. The file name character_0fedafe1904ada14__mq025__razor_hugh.cookedapp.0.buffer is characteristic of these files. Such files are related to mesh, character, cookedapp, fedafe, razor and 3D model.
