FRE files mostly belong to CT Recon.

A FRE file is not a single standardized format. It is used for different purposes based on who created it. The most common use is for storing CT scan image data. This form of FRE holds raw data from a CT scan and is managed by systems such as IMGF and CT Recon.

File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Our evaluation of the FRE files is as follows:

The FRE file extension is rather rarely used and mainly uses a special format. But the following two file formats are common:

70% of all FRE files have the same signature IMGF. They consist of unreadable binary data. FRE files can be up to 520 KB in size, but are often around 520 KB - 520 KB. The file type was created 20 years ago but is still used today. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as 000 mm, CT Recon HSUC and IMGF. The file name c_vm1012.fre or c_vf1001.fre is characteristic of these files.
15% of all FRE files are based on the zip format, the FRE file contains a number of compressed files. 15 to 45 compressed files are common. Customary file names are AdministradorMembroConselhoFiscalNegocios.xml, AnexoDocumento.xml, AuditorFormularioReferencia_v1.xml, AumentoCapitalEmissor.xml, BensAtivosNaoCirculante.xml, CapitalSocial.xml, CargoFuncaoMembrosDiretoriaConselhoComiteNegocios.xml and ControleAcionario.xml. If you want to see the included files and images, simply rename the file extension to .zip and double-click it. A typical file size is 14 MB. The files contain the following words: AdministradorMembroConselhoFiscalNegocios.xml.

How to solve problems with FRE files

Associate the FRE file extension with the correct application.
