What is an I00 file

I00 files mostly belong to Archiver. The I00 file is a segment of a larger file that has been split into several parts.
In one use case, the file contains part of an illustration where the internal format is based on TIFF. This means that a detailed image or graphic has been divided into smaller, more manageable pieces.
Another use case shows that the same extension is used for a PlayStation 2 ISO image that is split into segments. This method helps in handling and transferring large disc image files.

Segmented Archive: The file is only one piece. It requires other related parts (like .I01, .I02, etc.) to restore the full file.

Reassembly Required: Use an archive tool or ISO mounter to join all the parts before opening the complete file.

How to open I00 files

You need a suitable software like Archiver to open an I00 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. • 20% of all I00 files store the data in the TIFF file format. TIFF is short for Tagged Image File Format. It stores raster graphics images that support color depths from 1 to 24-bit, lossy and lossless compression and multiple layers and pages. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. • 10% of all I00 files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­" at the beginning. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. I00 files can be up to 4.2 GB in size, but are often around 4.2 GB - 4.2 GB. A common filename is Persona 3 FES.I00.
