What is an INST file

INST files mostly belong to DetLive.

An INST file stores specific instructions used during software installation. It can hold details that tell an installer what files to load or how to set up a plugin. For example, a .NET version acts as a DetLive plugin installer for FDetLive software.
Some INST files are packaged as a ZIP archive containing a template installation archive, which simplifies software setup. Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. Such a .NET object may contain functions and data like settings, images or videos. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. A typical file size is 700 KB. The keywords <Id>k__BackingField, <nombre>k__, ADetLive.Dominio.DominioActualizaciones.Entidades.PluginInstalable and FDetLive.Dominio, Version=4.0.9.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null are typical for these files. ISR-NAT.Inst is a typical file name.
