What is a UML file?

UML files mostly belong to Visual Paradigm by Visual Paradigm. A UML file is a class diagram or model written in Unified Modeling Language. It contains data which graphically describes an object, a class, a model, or an element in a software project. Integrated development environments such as Eclipse use a UML file to store a diagram representing the methods and properties of a class that performs a specific function in a program. UML is also used in applications such as database schema definition and process modeling. While most UML files are XML-encoded, some applications write UML models in JSON syntax. How to open a UML file

You need a suitable software like Visual Paradigm to open a UML file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your UML file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a UML file directly in the browser:.
