You need a suitable software like QuickTime to open an AIFC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. AIFC file extension format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. The AIFC file extension is quite common and includes various formats for various programs. But the following two file formats are common:
- 30% of all AIFC files are AIFF-C files. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. How to solve problems with AIFC files
- Associate the AIFC file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open musics. Because only the current version supports the latest AIFC file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Apple manufacturer website after an available QuickTime update.
