BAC format details:
To find out what program is needed to open BAC files, you need to determine the file format. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the BAC files is as follows:
BAC is a very commonly used file extension and includes different formats for different programs. The two most common formats are as follows:
- 65% of all BAC files are based on the well-known certificate file format. A digital certificate is a unique, digitally signed document which authoritatively identifies the identity of an individual or organization. Using public key cryptography, its authenticity can be verified to ensure that the software or website you are using is legitimate. They consist of unreadable binary data. The files are on average 2 KB in size and range from 2.7 KB to 2.9 KB. The file type is relatively new. The keywords Revenue Commissioners and Revenue Commissioners1 are typical for these files. These files can be linked to cert, certificate, digital, roscert, roscertificate, revenue, income and irish, and usually contain person-related data.
- 10% of all BAC files are based on the zip format, that is, a BAC file includes multiple compressed files. Primarily 1 to 30 files are included. Common included file names are T_AIR1.DBF, T_ALB1.DBF, T_BPYB1.DBF, T_BRB1.DBF, T_DBH1.DBF, T_DHDKTP1.DBF, T_DL1.DBF, T_DR1.DBF, T_KA1.DBF, T_KB1.DBF, T_KDP1.DBF, T_KDS1.DBF, T_KS1.DBF, T_KT1.DBF, T_LG1.DBF, T_MSU1.DBF, T_MU1.DBF, T_MUM1.DBF, T_NML1.DBF, T_NORMALISASI1.DBF and T_P1.DBF. If you'd like to see the images and files included, just rename the file extension to .zip and double-click. The average file size is 1 MB with most files being between 720 bytes and 6 MB in size. The following filename is common: 2020-06-01SAS21.BAC. Files like these have the following tags: bmnkpb, mqsjc and backup.
The remaining 25% of all BAC files are different files with different signatures, such as GZIP, Aef, TAPE, FDA, BAC and VOL. Often described as save, data, form, player, rosdigital, clearance, ireland or report. Just click the "Choose your .bac file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your BAC file is.
