What is a CLP file

CLP files mostly belong to Clipboardic. CLP files have several distinct uses depending on the software that created them. They are not a single, uniform format but a label applied to files with different internal structures.
For instance, one type of CLP file serves as a clipboard image format. In this case, the file holds an image copied to the clipboard and is handled by software such as Clipboardic.
Another use is as a CLIPS source code file. These files contain rules written in the CLIPS rule language and are simple text files that you can open with any plain text editor.

These files are often associated with rules.
