What is a CNV file?

CNV files mostly belong to Canvas by ACD. CNV is the filename extension of drawings created with Canvas graphics editor version 5 to 8. The format supports graphical content stored as vector or raster data. However, it is mainly used to store vector graphics. CNV is also the filename extension of temporary files used by some versions of WordPerfect office productivity software. Upload conversion data used by WS_FTP file transfer software are saved in CNV files. Db2 relational database management system also stores conversion data in CNV files. Some versions of Word rich text processor use CNV files to store conversion data. CNV is also a data file format for saving engineering units used by the Seabird SBE 19plus integrated marine observation system used to measure conductivity, pressure, and temperature. These CNV files can be opened with Seasave software. Some executable files bundled with GrindEQ Word-to-LaTeX conversion software are saved in a CNV files.

How to open a CNV file

You need a suitable software like Canvas to open a CNV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. These files sometimes refer to label, wpft, armry, indar, template, mission, procedi, cruise, figure, invite, nemail, diary, dnder, email, level, canv, conv, dstn, ezdn, plus, proc or site.
