The DBA file type is primarily associated with DarkBASIC.
What is a DBA file
How to open a DBA file
You need a suitable software like DarkBASIC to open a DBA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your DBA file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a DBA file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

DBA file format:
To find out what program is needed to open DBA files, you need to determine the file format. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the DBA files looks like this:
The DBA file extension is not found very often and is used by many programs, each with its own file format. But the following two file formats are common:
- 20% of all DBA files use the same file format, which have the signature Cr. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The file size is in the range of 7 KB to 730 KB. The files contain the following words: CrChF.
- 10% of all DBA files are based on the well-known JetDB file format. The JetDB is a database format often used by Microsoft Access and Visual Basic programs. JET is short for Joint Engine Technology. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. DBA files can be up to 2 MB in size, but are often around 270 KB - 1 MB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as Standard Jet DB. Files like these have the following tags: preprinting.
All other DBA files (70%) have no uniform format, often, for example, DateBook Archive and SQL. These files are often connected to lsat or palm. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your DBA file!
